Rabies  is a world wide zoonotic viral disease of animals and humans

How is it transmitted?  Typically by a bite of an infected animal, but can also be introduce by the salvia from an infected animal getting into an open wound or via mucous membranes

What are the signs in animals?  Abnormal behavior including; excessive salivation, aggression, other neurological signs including difficulty in swallowing or choking.

What are the symptoms in humans?  The early signs of rabies can be fever or headache, but this changes quickly to nervous system signs, such as confusion, sleepiness, or agitation prior to death.
